Anniversary #2
So it's kind of late, but I realized I never updated you all on what we did for our second Anniversary!
You remember how for Anniversary #1 we headed into the AZ desert and went to the Grand Canyon, right? Well... For Anniversary #2 we did something a little more "tropical" and headed to Dana Point to catch the ferry over to Catalina Island for the weekend :).
If you take a look at the hundreds of pictures we took, you will see just how beautiful the island is and how amazing our trip was :). Since we were 17 weeks pregnant at this point, we didn't want to do anything "too crazy". So we walked all over Avalon (our port of call) and hiked for 1.5 hours up the mountain to make it the Wrigley Memorial Gardens at the top. See... nothing too crazy ;).
We had an over all amazing Anniversary weekend and it was almost like a 2nd honeymoon, minus certain honeymoon aspects and add extra trips to the ladies room, lol! We all dubbed this our "First family vacation". Even though baby is not quite able to enjoy it himself yet. One day, when he's walking possibly, we'll take him back to Catalina so he can enjoy it himself ;). We ARE also renting a golf cart next time we go so we don't have to hike everywhere and loose the feeling in our feet again, lol!
There was so much to do in Catalina but most of the activities were water-based. You become very limited in your activities during pregnancy however. So we will have to come back "post baby" and try again for more fun things to do.
Well,I hope you have enjoyed our "10 cent tour". Please check out the pictures as they are all captioned. And do come again ;).

Home Projects:
So I know I keep redirecting you all to the secondary blog for all the baby details. But it's time I leave something on this blog just for you all ;).
Home Projects 2010
We have been at it again folks. As time time draws nigh and we get closer to meeting the boy, we realize there are still may changes, upgrades if you will, that we want to make on our home. Yes, Joe has been adding some of these same pics to the Home album here on Picasa, but he doesn't have all of them. I had been tracking the progress and logging the photos on the Facebook album I created when I started to realize that we had more home projects than just putting the nursery together before the baby arrived.
Please enjoy the pics and let us know what you think!

ALL Things BABY!!!
Hi Everyone!
So we've been slacking on keeping our blog up-to-date because the little wifey is posting all the good details of how baby is doing/ growing on her personal blog which has become all things baby at this point in time. Please feel free to link over there and follow us along as we watch our son grow big and strong!
Announcing Details:
Gender: Yes, a Boy (we've established this)
EDD: December 6, 2010
Are we registered anywhere? Yes! Target and Bed Bath & Beyond (please ask for personal info via email if needed).
Date of Baby Shower: None at this time.
Feel free to throw us one if you'd like. Or for those not in Cali, a "Shower in a box" is a great idea and it can be shipped right before baby comes so we don't have piles of things around the home while we're remodeling.
OK, if there's anything I forgot to mention, please leave us a comment here!
Thanks :)

Time to Catch up!
Hello to All-
Sorry it's been awhile since our last post. Since I really want to share the news with you all, but honestly do not want to "retype" an entire blog, I am going to link it here --> Mini Van Dream
Feel free to leave your comments on our post here, or the original post that is linked.
God Bless and I will post more at a later time when it is not so late and past my bed time. =)

Revelations and Resolutions...
[E]: This morning I am listening to several songs-
For The Love of God - Rebecca St. James
This is Your Life - Switchfoot
We Live - Superchick
Kiss Me - Sixpence None The Richer
I really could not find just "one" song to help me explain the revelation I had yesterday. As all amazing revelations come, this one found me in the bathroom (but don't all revelations happen in the bathroom?). Anyways... I was doing my thing and started to think about all I had put my Dear Husband through this past year. From me just being crazy hormonal all the time, to trying to get pregnant and him complaining that is was becoming more like work then fun, etc.
Then it hit me last night! Actually I started to notice something after our day hanging out at the Irvine Spectrum. I apologized to my husband last night. Here's comes the revelation... Are you ready for it? Take a minute to prepare. OK. Ready yet? Either way, here it comes.
Last night I confessed to my husband that I had been too pushy about wanting kids. I've come to realize how much I adore our little family with just the two of us. I also feel that I have so much love, I really have wanted to share this perfect love with someone else and grow our family (hence the baby-craziness). For those who know me well, you know that I would do anything to have children. I have wanted kids since I graduated college. Back to the Spectrum. I mentioned our hang out location because I've become more alert to all of the young families that are around us at any one point in our day. Last night I apologized to my husband because even though I do still want a baby and I do not want to give up trying, I've come to this conclusion.
If those parents we saw the other day wanted to go out alone or have some adult time, they would have to find and pay for a babysitter. Unlike my dear husband and myself they can no longer just "go out" without some serious planning around or with their children. I see now that what we have as a young couple is amazing and we need to take full advantage of every minute of every day that we have together. One day in the future we will be blessed with children and on that day I will be thrilled. Until then, I want and need to do all I can to enjoy this "pre-child" time with the wonderful husband Christ has blessed me with. There are still so many things that we want to do as a couple before we have children.
So in this new 2010 year, our only resolution is to honor Christ in all we say and do as a couple and as individuals, and enjoy this time we have together before children enter the picture.
Blessings to All in this new year!

What Are We Doing???
Hi Everyone!
[E]: I guess we've built up enough suspense since our trip home. Let me tell you how much fun we had :). We went home to FL for Christmas and New Years and it was this much fun!
This is Erica's family

This is Joe's family
I (Erica) do not have a "full" family pic of my Dad's half of the family, otherwise I would have posted that one too. Well, there is always a next time ;)! I'm sure you would like to see the rest of the pictures from our trip, no?
Follow the links for a pictorial journey of our trip!
Christmas 2009
New Years Eve (09/10)
We also have video of our trip excursions as well. Check back later to see a link to videos... I hope. So who did we get to see on our trip home? Family, Family, Family, more Family, Friends who dropped by parents' homes, oh yes, and Family :D! We even took a small road trip South to see more Family! Actually we went to see my Grandfather and cheer him up a bit. I think it worked, hehe. We also had a chance to visit with Joe's Aunt and Uncle in the area. THANK YOU for the awesome food!!! I think I have some new favorites now that Joe and I will have to learn to make.
Let's see what else? Well, there was a lot more that we did on our vacation. But... I'm going to leave you all with a cliff hanger. Why? Because it would be nice for Joe to finish up this post with his version of our trip too ;).
P.S. I am participating in Birth Choice's Walk for Life 2010. Please consider helping me reach my goal :). Thank you!
